Example 2.The water cycle
The Water Cycle
The water cycle, also known as the hydrological cycle, is a continuous natural process that ensures the circulation of water across the Earth's surface, atmosphere, and underground. Driven by solar energy, the cycle begins with evaporation, where water from oceans, lakes, rivers, and even plants (transpiration) turns into water vapor. This vapor rises into the atmosphere and undergoes condensation, forming clouds. When the clouds become heavy, water falls back to the Earth in the form of precipitation (rain, snow, sleet, or hail). The precipitated water then flows into streams, rivers, and oceans or infiltrates the ground to replenish groundwater sources in the collection stage. This water eventually returns to the atmosphere through evaporation, continuing the cycle. The water cycle plays a crucial role in maintaining Earth's climate, supporting ecosystems, and ensuring the availability of freshwater for all living organisms.
